Work I | (River Genil)

Esta obra dramatiza la realidad cotidiana del río Genil. Imitando su forma se encuentra dispuesta una variedad de objetos de desecho hallada a sus orillas en un tramo de un kilómetro al este de la ciudad de Granada.

Estas piezas, y tantas otras más, fueron recogidas de una vez – por desgracia, este es el estado diario del río y tantos otros espacios naturales.

Como pieza central, un sobre rasgado de producto químico indicando efectos nocivos. Pese a la incógnita del origen, su presencia a orillas del río no deja indiferente.

This work dramatizes the daily reality of the River Genil. Arranged imitating its shape are a variety of waste objects found on its banks in a one kilometer stretch east of the city of Granada.

These pieces, and many others, were collected all at once–unfortunately, this is the daily state of the river and so many other natural spaces.

As the centerpiece, a torn chemical envelope indicating harmful effects. Despite of the unknown origin, its presence on the river banks does not leave one indifferent.
